How it all started...
Founding Pastor Floyd and Sis Dorene Matthews had a burden to start a church in the Mars Hill district of Indianapolis In. The church was started in an apartment complex clubhouse and then moved to the living room of Bro & Sis Matthews home. With assistance from the IN District UPCI they were able to purchase the current church property. By the help of the Lord and the saints, Southwest Apostolic now occupies a beautiful facility on the southwest side of Indianapolis. The congregation is a warm and friendly group of people, and you are invited to come and experience the presence of the Lord with us.
Expanding the vision...
As we look toward the future, Southwest Apostolic Church is expanding its vision to impact more lives than ever before. We believe God has called us to reach our community with hope, compassion, and truth while developing strong ministries that serve people of all ages. Through evangelism, outreach, and a commitment to spiritual growth, we are dedicated to seeing lives transformed, families strengthened, and God's kingdom expanded throughout Mars Hill and the surrounding areas.

Our vision is not only to grow numerically but also spiritually, developing leaders, equipping believers for ministry, and expanding our impact beyond the walls of the church. We believe God has great things in store for Southwest Apostolic Church, and we are dedicated to following His direction as we reach the lost, serve others, and build a thriving church for future generations.
